This session will examine the variety of New York State laws that serve as the cornerstone for the state’s preneed system. Specifically, this includes the ways they work to make New York’s funeral service environment, in the legal and practical contexts, the best in the nation for both funeral directors and the consumers they serve each and every day. The session will cover provisions primarily from bodies of State law such as the General Business Law, Social Services Law and Public Health Law.
