Licensed Funeral Director-Manhattan

Company Description: Highly respected, successful, independently owned funeral home and cremation services company with two locations in Manhattan; Greenwich Village and Midtown West. This position is for our Greenwich Village Funeral Home located at 199 Bleecker Street, New York N.Y 10012. 

Role Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Licensed Funeral Director, with 8 or more years of experience, located in New York, NY. The Funeral Director will be responsible for planning and coordinating funeral services, meeting with families to discuss funeral arrangements, directing, preplanning and managing the logistics of funerals. Additional tasks include providing support and guidance to grieving families. Work alongside a team of experienced professionals. Must be ambitious, and truly a team player. 

Qualifications

• Skills in Family Services and providing support to grieving families 
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills 
• Strong organizational and managerial skills 
• Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism 
• Degree in Mortuary Science or a related field is preferred 
• Valid funeral director and embalming licenses as required by state law
